Formation and History. (May 42 - Aug 44)

Formed May 1942 at Brest in Brittany/France by renaming Seenotbezirksstelle Brest. Subordinated to Seenotbereichskdo. I (Brest). Directed sea rescue operations in the Bay of Biscay centered on Brest. Ordered disbanded 19 August 1944, but there is some evidence that this was not carried out until February 1945.[1]
