Formation and History. (Sep 40 - Dec 40)
Formed (new) 26 September 1940 at Boulogne-Wimereux/NE France. Responsible for air-sea rescue operations in the English Channel centered on Boulogne using 3. Seenotstaffel and its own Seenotflottille equipped with 2 motorboats and 16 combat engineer assault boats. Renamed Seenotzentrale (L) Kanalküste in December 1940.[1]
