Formed o/a April 1942 at Cherbourg by renaming Seenotzentrale (L) Cherbourg. Responsible for air-sea rescue operations in the western Channel area and around Normandy. Renamed Seenotbereichskdo. II o/a 1 June 1942.^[1]
