Formation and History. (Oct 41 - Jun 42)
Formed (new) o/a October 1941 at Kirkenes/N Norway. Responsible for air-sea rescue operations in the Barents Sea area along the Arctic coast of northern Norway and Finland. Renamed Seenotbereichskdo. IX o/a 1 June 1942.[1]
