Transportstaffel V. Fliegerkorps

Formation. (c. Feb 40)

Formed around February 1940 as the Luftwaffe was preparing for the all-out German offensive in the West that began on 10 May 1940. Other details concerning its formation are not known.[1]


West and South Russia. (c. Feb 40 - Apr 42)

16 Apr 40: Ju 52 damaged landing at Fp. Munich-Neibiberg, 5%[2]

10 May 40: probably at Augsburg with Stab/V. Fliegerkorps.

2 Jul 40: Ju 52 crashed at Fp. Rhein/Main, 70%, 3 injured.

Jul 40: based at Paris-Villacoublay and Jouy-en-Josas/SW of Paris through May 1941.

22 Jun 41: believed to be at Zamość/SE Poland with Stab/V. Fliegerkorps.

21 Jul 41: Ju 52 crash landed at Fp. Dubno/SE Poland, 30%.

26 Jul 41: Ju 52 crashed at Fp. Kraków/SW Poland due to pilot error, 60%.

11 Aug 41: based at Fp. Berdichev/40 km S of Zhitomir.[3]

8 Sep 41: now at Fp. Belaya Tserkov/75 km SW of Kiev.[4]

29 Oct 41: Ju 52 bombed on the ground at Fp. Taganrog/60 km W of Rostov, 25%.

10 Apr 42: renamed Transportstaffel Luftwaffenkommando Ost.[5]
