Approx 200km south of Lyon.

May - Aug 1944 - II./KG 26 located here.[1]

Jun – Sep 1944 – Geschwader Bongart used Valence airfield as a base for its anti-partisan operations in and around the valence area.[2]

1 Jun 1944 – Aircraft of the US 15th Airforce attacked Valence airfield.[3]

29 Jun 1944 – III./SG 4 flew sorties against partisans in the Valence area, its aircraft landed at Valence due to bad weather.[4]

24 Jul 1944 – Aircraft of the US 15th Airforce attacked Valence airfield. The bombers claimed damage to the taxying area, guns and aircraft as well as destroying fuel and ammunition.[5]

24/25 Jul 1944 – Valence came under attack, damage was caused to the taxi ways, telephone and power lines.[6]

26 Jul 1944 – Again came under attack by Allied aircraft, this strike caused the destruction of five Ju 88s and one Do 17.[7]

Aug 1944 - Stab./KG 26 located here.[1]

15 Aug 1944 - 37 Sqdn attacked Valence la Trésorerie.Target marking was inaccurate and as a result so was the bombing.[8]

20 Aug 1944 - B-25s of 340th Bomb Group USAAF attacked Valence at 09.03 (allied time), dropping 650 fragmentation bombs.[9]

In addition this airfield was used as a Luftpark and Feldwerkstatt[10]

Flugplatzkdo Valence subordinated to Fl.H.Kdtr. E(v) 221/XII (Lyon-Bron)[11]
