(Unit Code: ?)
Formation and History. (Sep 42? - Nov 42?)
No information as to formation or disbandment. Generalkommando z.b.V. may have been a planned Fliegerkorps being set up to support Hitler’s hoped-for drive deep into Caucasia and on to the Caspian Sea. The Luftwaffe’s part in the plans involved a large-scale effort with transports, gliders and paratroops. The German drive into Caucasia was stalled by October 1942 and the plans were soon abandoned.
