Formation and History. (Oct 43 - May 45)

Formed on or about 1 October 1943 at Pskov/N Russia by renaming Kurierstaffel 9. Assigned to Heeresgruppe Nord. Later assigned to Heeresgruppe Kurland from 28 Jan 45.

26 Dec 43: at Pskov-West.

1 Feb 44: still at Pskov - Staffel had some 50 liaison aircraft and 130 officers and men. It was one of the largest Verbindungsstaffeln.

1944: remained with H.Gr. Nord as it withdrew across the Baltic States into the Kurland (Courland) Pocket in northwestern Latvia in Oct 44.

3 Feb 45: Ju 52 bombed on the ground – location not reported, 100%.

25 Feb 45: Fi 156 C-3 crash landed – location not reported, 10%.

12 Mar 45: He 111 H-6 crash landed at Fp. Windau (Ventspils)/NW Latvia due to pilot error, 20%.
