Formation and History. (Oct 43 - May 45)
Formed on or about 1 October 1943 in Crimea or South Ukraine by renaming Kurierstaffel 6. Initially assigned to AOK 17.
15 Oct 43: Fi 156 taxied into a shell crater at Izyum/E Ukraine, 25%.
1 Nov 43: unserviceable Fi 156 blown up south of Pereskop at the neck of the Crimean Peninsula to prevent capture by the Russians, 100%.
10 Aug 44: at Okoc/1 km south of Preszkowo (neither of these locations found, but they are believed to be in SE Poland).
18 Jan 45: Fi 156 C-3 damaged its undercarriage at Pless/22 km WSW of Auschwitz in Upper Silesia, 15%.
Feb 45: Staffel probably assigned to Heeresgruppe Mitte or to Armeegruppe Heinrici (formerly Pz.AOK 1).
5 Feb 45: a man from the Staffel reported WIA in ground fighting around Branitz/18 km NW of Troppau in Upper Silesia.
1 Mar 45: Fi 156 C-3 crashed taking off from Marklissa/16 km S of Lauban in Upper Silesia, 70%, pilot injured.
Mar 45: Staffel reported a man MIA in Czechoslovakia.
