Formed 15 October 1943 (ordered 15 Sep 43) at Deelen/Holland (ex-Stab/1. Jagddivision). Controlled night fighter units operating over Holland and northwestern Germany under XII. Fliegerkorps to 15 October 1943, then under I. Jagdkorps. The Division subordinated Jagdfliegerführer 3, Jagdabschnittsführer Mittelrhein, as well as Ln.-Regiment 203, 213, 223 and 233, these providing radar coverage and other communications within its territory.[1]
Holland and North Germany. (Sep/Oct 43 - Apr 45)
Sep 43 – Sep 44: Stab remained at Deelen.[2]
11 Sep 44: Deelen - strength of Stab 43 officers and 338 men.[3]
18 Sep 44: after departing Deelen, Stab reestablished in Duisburg this date - responsible for close support operations along the lower Rhine area until early October under I. Jagdkorps.[4]
Oct 44: its HQ building at Duisburg destroyed in Allied bombing forcing the Stab to transfer to Wiedenbrück/SW of Bielefeld.[5]
Nov 44 – Mar 45: at Wiedenbrück.[6]
4 Apr 45: Stab disbanded on or about this date.[7]
