1st Formation

Formed May 1934 at Prenz1au/Brandenburg (ex-1.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.222). Disbanded on 1 October 1936 and used to form 3.(F)/Aufk1.Gr.121 at Prenz1au and Fernaufk1ärungsstaffe1/Lehrgeschwader Greifswa1d.^[1]

2nd Formation

Formed September 1937 at Prenzlau (ex-Fernaufkl.St./Lehrgeschwader Greifswald) with Heinkel He 45s, He 46s and Dornier Do 17Fs. Renamed 1.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.22 on 1 October 1937.^[1]

3rd Formation

Formed 1 November 1938 at Goslar in Lower Saxony (new) with Dormer Do 17Fs, which were replaced with the newer Do 17Ps during the first half of 1939.^[1]

Disbanded during Apr. 1945.
