3 Sep 1940 – 4.(F)/122 sent Ju 88 (F6+FM) on a photographic reconnaissance sortie to Hull. Departing Melsbroek at 09.24 hrs and returning there at 12.55 hrs.[2]

7 Sep 1940 – Ju 88 (F6+EM) of 4.(F)/122 departed Melsbroek at 12.50 hrs on a sortie to Birmingham and Derby that was abandoned early, the aircraft landed at 15.11 hrs.[4]

14 Sep 1940 – 5(F)./122 flew a weather flight to the Thames Estuary departing Haure Fontaineat 11.02 hrs and returning at 13.53 hrs[6]

A Ju 88 of 4.(F)/122 (F6+AM) departed Brussels-Evere at 09.15 hrs for a sortie to Hull and the Wash. It encountered three Spitfires and suffered some damage, landing at 12.26 hrs.[7]

20 Sep 1940 – 4.(F)/122 sent F6+DM on a photo reconnaissance sortie to Harwich and Ipswich.[10]

21 Sep 1940 – 3.(F)/122 took over 2 Ju 88A-5s from Bernburg, these were W.Nr. 424 and 427.[11]

22 Sep 1940 – 3.(F)/122, at Eindhoven, strength return submitted to IX. Fliegerdivision - Aircraft in unit: 3 He 111H-2, 3 He 111H-3, 9 Ju 88. Aircraft ready: 8. Crews in unit: 11. Crews ready: 11. 2 He 111 with crews for night flying training at Anklam.[12]

25 Sep 1940 - 3.(F)/122, at Eindhoven, strength return submitted to IX. Fliegerdivision - Aircraft in unit: 3 He 111H-2, 3 He 111H-3, 9 Ju 88. Aircraft ready: 11. Crews in unit: 11. Crews ready: 11. 2 He 111 with crews for night flying training at Lüneburg.[13]

26 Sep 1940 – A Ju 88 (F6+VN), piloted by Fw. Werner Breese, of 5(F)./122 flew a weather flight to the Thames Estuary departing Haure Fontaineat 06.57 hrs and returning at 09.55 hrs[14]

3.(F)/122 strength return submitted to IX. Fliegerdivision - Aircraft in unit: 2 He 111H-2, 3 He 111H-3, 9 Ju 88. Aircraft ready: 11. Crews in unit: 11. Crews ready: 11. He 111H-2 W.Nr. 5562 surrendered to IX. Fliegerdivision. 2 He 111 with crews for night flying training at Lüneburg.[15]

27 Sep 1940 - 3.(F)/122 strength return submitted to IX. Fliegerdivision - Aircraft in unit: 2 He 111H-2, 3 He 111H-3, 9 Ju 88. Aircraft ready: 11. Crews in unit: 11. Crews ready: 11. 2 He 111 with crews for night flying training at Lüneburg.[16]
