1 Sep 39: Koluft at Jastrow - supported 4. Armee operations from West Prussia, most of which were directed against Polish forts and installations around the Bay of Danzig.

Western Germany, France and the Low Countries

Oct 39 – May 40: Koluft with HQ 4th Army in the Aachen area.

5 May 40: Koluft subordinated this date: 6 Aufklärungsstaffeln (4.(F)/14, 3.(H)/21, 3.(H)/13, 1.(H)/31, 2.(H)/31, 1.(H)/11), Kurierstaffel 11, 6 Flak-Abt. (I./Lehr, I./13, I./33, I./52, le.86, le.93), and Ln.-Abt. 2 (H) (mot.).

May 40 – Jun 40: supported the Army’s drive across Belgium from 10 May, into northeastern France, and then along the coast to Le Havre and Cherbourg.

Jun 40 – Sep 40: occupation of northwest France.

Sep 40 – Jun 41: occupation of Poland.

Central Russia

22 Jun 41: Koluft subordinated this date: 5 Aufklärungsstaffeln (1.(F)/33, 1.(H)/10, 2.(H)/41, 5.(H)/12, 7.(H)/12), Kurierstaffel 11, 3 Flak-Abt. (Flak-Regimentsstab 153 (mot.) with II./14, I./24, I./231), and Ln.-Abt. 2 (H) (mot.).

Jun 41 – Jan 42: supported 4th Army’s attack on the Soviet Union from 22 June via Minsk, Smolensk, Roslavl, and then the drive on Moscow along the line Vyazma-Mozhaisk-Maloyaroslavets.

24 Jan 42: Koluft probably at Roslavl - renamed this date Stab/Aufklärungsgruppe (H) Süd.
