Formed 26 August 1939 by re-designating Stab/Aufklärungsgruppe 10 “Tannenberg” (Neuhausen/East Prussia).[1]

1 Sep 39: Koluft at Calw/30 km WSW of Stuttgart in southwest Germany.
1 Sep 39: Koluft subordinated this date: 2 Aufklärungsstaffeln (7.(F)/LG 2, 3.(H)/14), Kurierstaffel 9, 1 Flak-Abt. (I./491) and probably Ln.-Abt. 1 (H) (mot.).
Sep 39 – May 40: border defence along the German-French border on the upper Rhine, then crossed the river and attacked into Alsace 15-25 June.
10 May 40: said to have only subordinated 2.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 13 on this date because it defended static positions during the opening phase of the attack on France and the Low Countries.
Jun 40 – Feb 41: occupation of France along the southwest coast on the Bay of Biscay to February 1941.
Feb or Mar 41: Koluft renamed Koluft AOK 2.
