Formation and History. (Aug 39 - Oct 39)
Formed o/a 26 August 1939 by re-designating Stab/Aufklärungsgruppe 21 (Stargard/Pomerania). Employed in West Prussia and the Danzig area during the campaign in Poland. On 1 September, it subordinated 2.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 11, probably a Kurierstaffel, and possibly all or elements of Ln.-Abt. 6 (H) (mot.). Renamed Koluft Heeresgruppe B on or about 12 October 1939. There is also some evidence that Stab/Aufklärungsgeschwader 13 may have been used in the formation of this Koluft. On 1 September 1939, the Koluft was at Bad Polzin.[1]
