Luftgaukommando V (1st Formation)

Luftkreiskommando V München (12 Oct 37 - 4 Feb 38)

Luftwaffengruppenkommando 3 (4 Feb 38 - 30 Jun 38)



Subordinate Commands and Units:

Luftwaffe ground organization (air bases, etc.), Flakartillerie (antiaircraft) forces and the civil air defense organization within its territory of responsibility.


Formation and History. (Oct 37 - Jun 38)

Formed 12 October 1937 in Stuttgart by re-designating Luftgaukdo. 15 (Stuttgart). Luftgaukdo. V covered the Baden-Württemberg area in Southwestern Germany, the same territory assigned to the Army’s Wehrkreis V. As a result of a reorganization on 30 June 1938, Luftgaukdo. V was disbanded and its territory incorporated into Luftgaukommando VII (München).[1]
