Formation and History. (Feb 40 - Oct 40)
Formed about February 1940 at Kitzingen (Luftgaukdo. XIII) for the forthcoming attack on France and the Low Countries that began on 10 May. Assigned to provide forward logistical support for Luftflotte 3. On 6 April the Stab was still at Kitzingen preparing and training for the campaign. On 16 July 1940, after the conclusion of the campaign, the Stab was in Brittany under Luftflotte 3 and subordinated Airfield Regional Commands (Kdo.Flughafenbereiche) 160 (Laval) and 1202 (Morlaix). Disbanded in October 1940.[1] (Tessin; T-321 microfilms; LPA orders).
