Formation. (Summer 43)
Formed summer 1943 in Italy for Luftflotte 2, but no information as to exact date and place of formation. Staffel consisted exclusively of Fi 156s. A postwar published source states that it was formed July 1942 for liaison support in Italy. Its main element was most likely co-located with Stab (headquarters) Luftflotte 2, i.e., Rome until Sep 43, then moved to the Lake Garda area in North Italy. [1]
