Formation. (Apr-May 41)

No information found in the primary documents explored as to the exact date and place of formation, but a published source from 2009 gives April 1941 as the date of formation. [1]


North Russia(?), Central Russia and South France. (Jun 41 - Nov 44)

25 Jun 41: Go 145 shot down by AA fire near the Narew river bridges in NE Poland, 100%, 1 KIA and 1 WIA.[2]

Jul – Oct 41: no operational details found, but presumably served in North Russia.

Nov 41 – May 42: transferred back to Germany and disbanded, with assets returned to the schools. Re-established using elements of FFS (A/B) 121 and LKS 5, both flight schools, in c. April-May1942 for assignment to 2. Fliegerdivision in Central Russia.[3]

2 Jun 42: 2 Fi 156s bombed on the ground at Fp. Vyazma/150 km ENE of Smolensk and damaged.

16 Jul 42: based at Vyazma-South.[4]

15 Nov 42: ordered to transfer with 2. Fliegerdivision from Vyazma-South to South France in response to the Allied landings in Morocco and Algeria on 8 November.

23 Nov 42: W 34 hi damaged undercarriage landing at Fp. Nîmes in South France, 45%.

26 Jun 43: Fi 156 crash landed at Montfrin/20 km ENE of Nîmes, 25%.

19 Jul 43: Fi 156 force landed near Pisa/NW Italy, 90%, 1 killed and 1 injured.

17 Sep 43: Ju 88 D-1 crashed at Fp. Montpellier/S France, 90%, 1 injured.

10 Jul 44: based at Fp. Nîmes and still providing liaison support to 2. Fliegerdivision.[5]

3 Oct 44: withdrew from France in late August or early September, with final station at Kaufbeuren in Bavaria where it was disbanded this date. [6]

13 Dec 44: Feldpost number deleted. [7]
